Subscription and bays
Openhood is priced on bays, not seats. You can invite your whole team at no extra cost, because what you pay reflects your workshop's capacity, not how many people log in.
What you pay
Independent pricing is for Australian-hosted Openhood, billed to your organisation. Prices are GST-inclusive.
- The base subscription is $149/m and includes up to 2 active bays.
- Each extra active bay is $49/m on top of the base.
- Billing starts after your 14-day free trial. There is no charge during the trial.
Bays, not users
Add as many service advisors, technicians, and detailers as you like. Team members never change your subscription price.
Committed bays vs active bays
Two bay counts matter, and they are kept separate on purpose.
- Committed bays are your billing quantity. This is what your subscription price is based on.
- Active bays are the operational bays you have set up in the product.
Editing your operational bays does not silently change your bill. If your active bays climb above your committed count, Openhood prompts you to review billing rather than charging you automatically.
A bay change is a deliberate step
Changing your committed bay count is a billing change. When you choose a different count, Billing shows your current and new committed bays and the monthly price impact, then asks you to confirm before saving.
Your trial
The default motion for new workshops is a 14-day card-backed trial. You add your payment details up front so you can see your subscription, but you are not charged until the trial ends. Openhood never stores raw card details. Your card is held by Stripe.
Invited pilot partners may instead start on a 90-day no-card pilot arranged directly with Openhood. If that applies to you, your onboarding skips card entry.
Managing your subscription
Billing lives in Settings and is owner-only. From there you can see your status, plan, committed bays, current monthly price, and recent invoices, and open the Stripe billing portal to update your card.
