SMS credits and usage

Operational customer messaging is part of your base subscription. Quote links, status updates, pickup messages, and customer replies are the texts your workshop sends every day, and an allowance for them is included.

What is included

Your subscription includes a fair-use transactional SMS allowance that scales with your committed bays.

  1. You get 100 included SMS segments per committed bay per month.
  2. The allowance is tied to your committed bay count, so it grows as your billing capacity grows.
  3. Included messages are consumed before any extra credit is used.

Transactional only

The included allowance covers operational customer messaging. Marketing campaigns and AI SMS replies are separate paid modules and do not draw from this allowance.

When you go over the allowance

If your operational messaging passes the included allowance for the month, the extra usage is billed through your SMS credit balance. The included allowance always applies first, then credit covers the overage.

Topping up credit

Extra SMS credit is bought as a top-up and lives in owner Billing settings. You will see a simple credit balance, not a rate card.

Top-ups go through Stripe Checkout and credit your balance once payment completes. Buying credit is a financial action, so it sits in Billing rather than in Communications settings.

Your site number is included, not a credit purchase

Setting up your site's customer messaging number does not use SMS credit. The number comes with your subscription. Credit and the included allowance apply only to actual messages you send.
